Children & families
Some people can feel quite nervous coming to a first appointment, and so it can be helpful to know what is going to happen in advance.
We will decide with you who should come to the the appointments and whether people are seen on their own or together. Depending on your age, your preferences and the reason you are coming we might talk, play, draw or combine these things. Our rooms are comfortable and child friendly. The aim of the first meeting is for us to start to get to know each other, to understand what you want help with and to decide whether to go ahead with more meetings.
We offer a range of different types of help and decide together with you and your parents or carers (where appropriate) what way of working might be most helpful. We can also change our way of working if it is not helping.
