Our mission and values

At The Trauma Recovery Space we:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for those who have experienced trauma, including detailed assessments, shared decision making and collaborative care plans.

  • Help our clients monitor progress towards goals and adapt our approach if it is not working.

  • Monitor and report on the impact we are having as a service via the use of routine outcome monitoring.

  • Provide consultation, supervision, reflective practice facilitation and training to professionals on a range of specialist topics related to trauma.

  • Share our extensive knowledge, understanding and experience of working with people affected by trauma, to help scaffold and support the development of trauma informed teams, organisations and communities.

  • Collate and share resources that can be used to support those who have experienced trauma, and those working with people impacted by trauma.

  • Grow our own knowledge and learning within the field of trauma, whilst also supporting the next generation of trauma informed therapists.

  • Develop our service in collaboration with people who have lived experience of trauma.

  • Extend our work beyond the therapy room. Trauma recovery does not happen in isolation. Social support, connections and relationships are key to working towards overcoming trauma and moving forwards.

Our impact

We are committed to helping those we work with make meaningful changes and to using feedback to ensure we are providing the most effective care and support possible.

We will report annually on outcomes for those we help, train and supervise and how we have used feedback to inform our practice.
